Hetzner changed Cloud pricing for new orders and resizes on June 15, 2026. That makes many older comparison articles inaccurate because they still quote pre-adjustment prices.
The important number is also not just the instance price. Public IPv4, backups, Volumes, tax, and region can all affect the amount paid for a real deployment.
Key takeaways
- CX23 in Germany and Finland moved to $6.49 per month excluding IPv4 and VAT.
- CAX11 moved to $6.99 per month in the same European locations.
- Hetzner publishes different prices for Europe, the US, and Singapore.
- Public IPv4 is a separate resource and should be added to the budget when required.
- Use current official pricing rather than old VPS roundups.
The June 2026 price adjustment
Hetzner published new Cloud prices effective June 15, 2026 for new orders and instance resizes. In Germany and Finland, CX23 changed from $4.99 to $6.49 per month and CAX11 changed from $5.49 to $6.99, both excluding IPv4 and VAT.
Larger shared and dedicated families also increased, so historical price-per-resource comparisons need to be recalculated.
Regional pricing matters
Hetzner publishes separate price tables for Germany/Finland, the United States, and Singapore. Not every instance family exists at the same price or in every location.
Choose the location first, then check the exact family available there. A European price should not be used to describe a US deployment.
IPv4, backups and storage
The server line item is only compute. If the workload requires public IPv4, backups, additional Volumes, snapshots, or other resources, add them before comparing Hetzner with another provider.
This is especially important when deciding whether a plan fits a hard threshold such as under $10 per month.
How to budget Hetzner Cloud accurately
Write down the instance price for the target location, public IP requirement, backup policy, attached storage, transfer expectations, and tax. That produces the effective monthly cost.
Recheck prices at checkout because capacity and product availability can change independently of published historical articles.
